Since 1994 Marti has been part of the staff of Caleb Resources (previously Caleb Project) as a mobilizer - serving primarily as a project manager, strategist, and writer. She provides training and consulting for relationship-based sociological research projects designed to support church-planting efforts and mobilize prayer. Such work has taken her to Central Asia, India, North Africa, Southeast Asia, and Europe.
Marti also teaches for Perspectives on the World Christian Movement and Encountering the World of Islam classes, as well as teaching cultural learning principles and techniques for local churches, short-term teams, and mission agency groups.
Shortly after 9/11 Marti spent a year in a conservative Muslim part of Central Asia experiencing the life of a long-term worker and documenting the experiences of church-planters. This led to the 2005 publication of Through Her Eyes, a book about the lives of missionary women in the Muslim world.
Marti manages and edits a free, weekly publication for mission mobilizers, Missions Catalyst e-Magazine .
